A beautiful valley before Mengel Pass
This is known as the Geologist Cabin located in the valley of the above photo.
Located in a side canyon after you cross Mengel Pass is the Barker
Ranch. This is where Charlie Manson and his followers lived. They had a
murderous rampage in the Los Angeles area and killed many people
years ago including actress Sharon Tate. It is rumored others that were
murdered are buried in this area.
